About me
Hey! I'm Callum, I'm an R&D Electronics Designer at Blue Robotics! My experience lies in analog and digital circuit design, PCB design/layout, RF testing, and electronics product development.
I graduated with a degree in electrical engineering (biomedical option) from the University of British Columbia. While at UBC, I was involved in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Student Society, where I served as president from 2024 to 2025. My involvement entailed leading a team of Vice Presidents to put on events like tutoring, career fairs, parties, and hackathons. I was also involved with UBC Rocket, an engineering design team whose goal is to design, build, and launch high-power rockets for competitions, where I worked as the avionics hardware lead and electronics designer. I managed and actively participated in the design, building, and testing of avionics systems for the Tantalus, Silvertip, Beauty and the Beast, and Garibaldi rockets.
I did co-op work terms at Kinitics Automation and StarFish Medical, and I gained research experience in machine learning from working with the Tam Lab at the UBC School of Biomedical Engineering.
Outside of school, I have several hobbies, such as electronics, programming, and aviation. I have several personal projects through those hobbies developing my skills in embedded hardware, PCB design, firmware programming, and software programming.
About the site
I created this site over a period of a few months in 2021. It was created using HTML with Bootstrap, which makes the website look cleaner than just a simple HTML site. Bootstrap also makes it responsive, so it works on a wide variety of devices. The site is hosted with GitHub pages, so you can see the repository for the site here . There are a couple Python scripts in the repository whose function is just to make the header and footer of each page the same as the header and footer of index.html, which helps a lot when I want to make a change to the entire site. If you have any questions or comments about the website, please reach out!
